Ahhh the Shine!

Two days of priming and painting with still yet more to do but this morning is a little damp so on to another project.
Cleaning the hinges and handles for the cupboards.
One layer of bright blue paint, on top of a layer of brown paint, on top of 45 years of grime.
Two brillo pads destroyed and one right hand about to fall off and presto...the SHINE comes through.

Hub Caps

We were lucky enough to have the original hub caps still on the camper. In really good condition these little things sell for a pretty good price! We had some damage but at least we have them. Don patched them up and we painted them silver with the red lettering. Paint pens are a wonderful thing!

Working at it!

We had a very productive weekend working on the Scotty.
All the wall pieces that were dry fit came back down and got primed and ready to paint.
I primed everything on the inside that will be painted and all the cupboard doors and the one drawer. Don got the latch fixed on the outside entry cubby and if the weather hold out, I hope to get most of the painting done this week. Even with just primer it looks so much better.

After it's first bath...and it needs more washing
but it's better then it was.

Notice new outside electrical outlet Don put in
where the old rusty furnace pipe was. It still
needs a little patching up.

Got most of the black streaking off the back so
maybe with a couple more washings it will be
gone.

This was the first time we laid eyes on our little
Scotty, and YES...we still bought it!

Ok, I guess I'll try my second post. I have no idea why this seems so hard to me or maybe it's just confusing.
Don has been working hard on our little "RV". Electrical is done and he added more outlets inside along with an outside one. The new ceiling is up and almost all of the new wood on the walls. We have the stove, sink and all the trim pulled out so my job was cleaning all of that. I'm going through Brillo pads like crazy scrubbing a gazillion little aluminum trim pieces. Some have blue paint on top of brown paint which is coming off...just takes lots of elbow grease.
The hub caps have been patched up and repainted and look great.
Now my attempt to post some before and after pictures.........So the pictures posted backwards and also posted on the top instead of the bottom but hey...I got them on here. I'm learning. This is the little stove...after and before. LOL

My First Attempt at Blogging

Well, here I am finally after being to chicken to try this out before now. Actually, I wasn't THAT afraid of blogging, it's just that I never have anything worth writing about. At least nothing that anyone else would be interested in.
About a month ago we bought a little 13 ft. Serro Scotty camper that we are fixing up. I thought maybe this would be a good start to a blog so I can keep track of the process.
Now if I can just learn how to do it!
Until I play with this some more...that's all for now.
